Help: iPAQ+TomTom or iQue 3600 or StreetPilot III Deluxe?

I have to choose for my father-in-law one of those 3 options:

a) HP iPAQ 2210 + Haicom 204E (or SysOn BT) + Brodit mount + TomTom3 (all Europe) + CF 512 MB

b) Garmin iQue 3600 + CitySelect Europe + SD 256 MB

c) Garmin Street Pilot III DELUXE + 128 MB card + CityNavigator Europe

All those kits are nearly at the same price - aprox. 700 pounds.

I have read all reviews, but still found no simple answer :-)

Main reason to buy such a navkit is to help in travelling across the Europe - from Germany to Italy and France, sometimes even a rambling around half of the continent ;-)

The most important thing is usability for "non technician" and avoiding frequent changes of memory cards and map uploading.
There is no plan to use it on a boat or bicycle - just in the car.

Given he needs all of Europe you may want to go with the system that has the most storage space. That would be a)

The only user issue would be switching maps - I think something he will learn quickly
