How do I correct a map error?

I am having problems on a roundabout that I wish to correct but cannot do it on either the 530 or 940.

If I plan a very short route (part of a larger route I take) from A12 Exit road, Chelmsford, GBR @51.71882°N, 0.52832°E to A414 Maldon Road, Chelmsford, GBR @51.72063°N, 0.53264°E, I should travel Northbound up the slip road turn right at the first roundabout 3rd exit, cross Eastbound over the A12, cross the second roundabout second exit heading East towards Maldon.

On the one line TomTom route planner this works as expected. On the 940 and 530 (latest maps and software) it takes me North up the slip road, tells me to travel West towards Chelmsford then do a U turn. I cannot find any turn or direction restrictions that would prevent me turning right on the roundabout.

Any ideas?

HI

Just because the Tomtom says so it does not mean you have to follow the instruction if you know where you are going.Some one has most likely put in a no right turn restriction . Just go to map corrections on the device and see if you can alter the right turn.

Same on my 940. Nothing to correct as it is a roundabout and it is correctly mapped as a roundabout. Must be a quirk in the software that's causing this bizarre routing!

I wonder whether the time taken is recorded too long for that section of the roundabout. (E.g. they think it takes 10 minutes rather than 10 seconds).

Report it to TomTom as an "Other Error" It won't get corrected immediately, but it might creep into a future map.
