I've been playing about with the TTS warnings because the ogg files were not being "said" louder when you go faster. In the ogg files, there's often a beep, siren etc to get your attention before the camera warning which I wanted to replicate.

One of the extras in Loquendo's TTS system is "expressive cues" which includes various special effects like crying, coughing, sneezing etc. You can put them in the the "type in your own warning" option using \_ before the warning. Not all the options are available on the TomTom but there's a few.

There's many sites showing various lists if you google \_cough_01.

So far the best I've done is \_cough - camera! 40! which is a bit 'different' . The hyphen puts a pause after the effect and the exclamations makes her say each word separately instead of trying to make a sentence.

I'm still playing with it so just wanted to let you know it's there if anyone else wants to play.

I played with these a bit when I used the TTS system to create the "Simon" camera warning ogg files, but I never really got anywhere.
Also, I never worked out why Simon sounds so happy and excited when he says "Redlight camera" (if you use them you'll know what I mean! )
