I have noticed on my 940 that Home does not download map corrections for the USA but only the Western Europe map. I thought that this was normal until I saw in someones signature who had the 940 they list the number of corrections for the WE and NA maps. Any ideas why this is?
The NA map is not listed in Home under Mapshare maps to update but is shown in the purchase maps list as on the device.
Also has anyone noticed that TTHome seems to interfere with Adobe Acrobat accessing a USB2 HP Scanner? On mine when Homerunner is running the system sees the Scanner as connected but Acrobat often times out trying to access it. When Home (in the system tray) is stopped the problem goes away. _________________ Drivelux |

Pure guesswork - might it be that Mapshare Corruptions are only downloaded for the map you are using? Try switching map to USA then connect to Home and see what you get for corruptions.
As for Home interfering, I'm not surprised at anything bad Home does. _________________ Dennis

I went into manage maps on the device, switched to the NA map then on the device joined mapshare for NA. It will now download them whatever map is selected on the device. Not that I need the updates. _________________ Drivelux |

That's possibly new then....
I used to run two different W+C Europe maps, one on the internal and one on the SD card.
In order to get MapShare corrections for them both, I had to switch to the correct storage location when Home started AND switch to be using the right map every time. |

It could be as my maps are both on the internal memory? _________________ Drivelux |

I've got both UK and Southern Africa maps in the internal memory, and I've always had to switch maps on the device before connecting to Home.
With the Africa map selected the device tells me I've already joined Mapshare. _________________ Anita

I seem to have both options at once.
Although it only actually offers the updates when the map is selected. _________________ Drivelux |

It's OK, Dennis. They don't mind, as long as you stick to the speed limit (40kph in the National Parks) and always give them right of way.

I also have both maps listed in Home, but am only offered updates for the map selected on the device. I'm not sure if you're saying the same, or whether you can update both maps without disconnecting, switching maps and reconnecting in between? _________________ Anita

First thing this morning, in the Home selection window shown above I did not have the option for the NA Maps. I went into the device, selected the NA map and the NA option was added om Home along with a list of some map corrections. I did not download them at the time but switched back to my WE map. I then downloaded various things including the map corrections for both maps.
However since then, I am only offered corrections for the map that is currently in operation on the Go, even though both are shown as selected in Home.
I would have hoped Home would have downloaded both when selected to do so when both are present on the Go. This doesn't cause a problem as I don't use the NA maps, but I just like to be sure I can in case that ever changes.
Imagine what it would be like trying to do this if the Europe maps were provided as they used to be, all separate country maps each with major routes covering the other countries rather than a single map. _________________ Drivelux |

Thanks for clearing that up, MrT. I shan't bother to spend time trying to find out how to do it then! _________________ Anita
