WHY !!!!!

Hi

Used the site few years ago with a Garmin streetpilot, all loaded well and was pleased.

However, just purchased a Garmin Zumo 550 for use on my motorbike.
Tried to download the speed camera database ( I have just subscribed ! ) and add POI's as well.

Tried separately at 1st then read some advice and told to add all together into one file, then up load to the Garmin.

Tried it once, twice, three times etc but with no joy. My Garmin will either see the cameras or the POI's but NOT both. Also tried to add Liz at the same time ( extra voice ) but to no avail.

So, to sum up : Tried to load cameras, then POI's then Liz. Switched the Garmin on and only found the speed cameras ( NO Liz / POI's ).
Re tried with out the cameras, could see the POI's but not Liz.
Then added all the 3 into 1 file, then tried to upload to the Garmin. This time will only see cameras !!!!!!!!!

HELP .... surely it must be easier to load up / update than having all this hassle ?

Hi and welcome.

Just put the POIs and the speed camera files in one folder on your PC and load the lot in one go. You can't load two lots in separate goes as POILoader wipes out all Custom POIs before loading the new ones.

For the voices as there is only a voice for the Speed Zoned Database you must be using that database and not the Single File or the Consolidated. Just unzip the mp3s into the same folder and the Speed Camera Database and upload the lot. The 550 has the mp3 player so it should support voice alerts.

If you are still having problems please be more specific about the files you have downloaded, the choices you made and the files you are trying to load onto the unit.

what do you mean by 'see'? where are you expecting to 'see' the pois and speed cams?

you will be able to 'see' them in where to / extras / custom pois
