I had the vm x950 as a xmas present, its easy to use when u get into it , on my 1st venture out within 20 mins the screen had frozen, had to reset, it has done this 5 times with 2 of these ending in sayin fatal error, am i doing something wrong or is there a problem, please help |

Hi and thanks, it is version 6.1.0 maps are uk & ireland, cheers, Rick. |

The latest version 6 is 6.5.4 available as a patch from the VM website by following this link http://tinyurl.com/7t662u. (The link is very long so I've 'Tinyed (sp) it). If you follow the instructions you may find that the problem corrects itself by updating.
If it's a new unit there was an upgrade path to v7, but I don't suppose there's anything in the box about that as I think that offer was withdrawn when VM left the market. Edit: Forget that the 950 only uses v6 I've just noticed.
