I have a RA Navigator 6000, and yes it is a crap sat nav and i am considering replacing it for a garmin nuvi 250 or similar, however in the meantime, does anyone know if there is a way of updating the postcodes on the RA 6000 as it seems very limited on the "full" post code searches, generally only accepts 4 digits, which does get you nearby, but not very close usually. I have tried paying the subscription but that does not work for the postcodes.
I have heard that there may be files which can be downloaded to satnavs which update the postcodes held on the system, is this correct.
thanks for any help anyone can give (although i am sure the best advce would be to replace the rubbish sat nav)

For TomTom devices it is possible to update the postcode data, but for the hardware you are currently using I am not aware of any updates, perhaps you should ask Road Angel if its possible to do this, if their answer is no then look at upgrading to a unit that offers the full postcode capability, although this will involve new hardware from a different manufacturer - Mike
