No, we do not allow sharing of the camera database files....except devices of other family members within the same household _________________ Andy

The database is available to members who have subscribed and paid and the licence allows the subscriber to install it on up to three devices belonging to them or members of their direct family living at the same address. Much more generous than any other similar service.
The data itself contains a unique signature from which we can identify the source if it is found being shared. Anyone found doing risks forfeiting their subscription and membership here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Does this mean "jackdark" has been banned under a previous login name? |

Only if IP address has changed too - no other username is sharing that IP address _________________ Andy

Odd though that jackdark is complaining now in others posts that our alerts don't work, especially as they aren't a subscriber.
Call me suspicious..... _________________ Darren Griffin |

Many users on Dynamically Assigned IP Address ISP such as Virgin Media will change IP address often. Mine changes every day because i switch my modem and router off at night so get assigned a new IP address every day. |

Yes, it is strange.
Perhaps using a friend or neighbour's PC to 'acquire' a different IP address.
I don't know where they are geographically, but the IP address is 24.xxxxxxxx
Like Darren says, they're not a subscriber, but appear to have obtained a copy of the database - cheek to moan about it not working _________________ Andy
