Hi all,

Well having been a member of the forum for little over a week, all of my gear arrived today!. Got TT3 wired kit from PDAmods and ordered a Dell Axim X3i from Dell - everthing arrived today and I'm please to say that I had it all up and running in less than half an hour!!!

One thing... I must have omitted to include a memory card with the Axim and as such I've mananged to install TomTom with only a 32mb map (of the north). Now, I want to start adding in all sorts of POIs etc but suspect I'm not going to be able to do much until I get a memory card so

Questions:

1) How many POIs (or POI databases) can you install at once if you have a 256MB card?

2) Will I benefit much by having a 256 card instead of a 128MB card if only using TomTom?

3) I've heard that Axims can be fussy with SD cards - can you recommend which card I should obtain?

I'm eager for an answer to these so that I can order a card asap and get cracking with all the wonderful POIs on the site!

I use Teletype and the California map is 90mb and about 110mb with all teh POIs. POI probably wont take much room 10-20mb. You will probably do fine with a 256 card. 128 you may have to get picky on what you install. There seems to be a number of PDA which dont like the standard SanDisk cards. I personally stay away from then and go with panasonic, kingston etc. With a 256 you will less often have to unload maps to fit more on since it holds more. I use a 512 and never unload/transfer maps since everything fits.
