Just did an update to my 510. It's complete but I've lost all my favoourites except for Home. This happened once before. Any ideas how I can recover them? I did restore a backup last time, but to no avail.
Thanks |

Have a read of FAQ #15 on This Page, it will explain what to do to recover the issue, but it does involve converting the old Favs file to a POI category - this is a much better option as it isn't as unstable as the MapSettings.cfg file - Mike |

Thanks Mike - done and done.
I've actually gone to the location of some of the POIs and saved them as favourites as well.
cheers. |

I think you may have missed the point........
General consensus is NOT to make favourites but, rather, create a custom poi category (or more) and place the locations you want to establish there.
Otherwise, you may run into the same problem the next time you upgrade a map or firmware....... _________________ David |

I have all my favourites saved as POIs but before I go on a trip I make those I'm likely to use into favourites again just because it's quicker to navigate to a favourite than to a POI. Then i remove them again when i'm back. That's the best of both worlds because I still have them if I lose my favourites during an upgrade etc. _________________ TT Go Essential |
