nuffieldranger -
Hi and welcome.
I did PM you last night and which you read at lunchtime today. Please do not keep opening new threads on the same question all over the forum. It duplicates the questions and answers. Please stick to this thread here. |

sorry about that but my question fits under many of your headings so i thought i would increase my chances of getting an answer to my problem.
my subject under memory map was kind of different as well so feel that removing it was a bit harsh however you are the boss and hopfully some one will be able to answer my dilema soon and i will hopfully not need to bother you again. |

It's not a problem but it is mentioned in the forum rules. Otherwise you end up with the same questions being asked and answered all over the forum.

Some slight wording changes here and there but they are essentially the same question(s)

I'm not.

You sound offended or upset. That wasn't my intention. I'm just here to help keep the forum running smoothly. If' i upset or offended you then i apologise, and hopefully next time you have a problem you'll come back to us. As you say hopefully someone can help answer your question. |

I don't think MemoryMap will be of much use other than planning a route on the PC and uploading to your portable device, whilst the waypoints should transfer to the device the map content won't so it will fail to meet your expectations. Only the newer Garmin devices will display the OS style maps.
I have tried the Garmin Topo mapping and have found it to be very poor in comparison to the OS maps on a portable device be it PNA aka Satmap Active10 or MemoryMap on a PDA.
If you want to use true OS style maps you will need to switch to different hardware - Mike |
