Just a quick thankyou for your work. These miss understandings of the abbreviations by my 350 have at best been stupid. |

i don't know if this is relevent to your software but the motorways in majorca are all prefixed 'MA' eg MA-13.
apparently TTS voices tell you to travel on "Massachusetts thirteen" :D
i was talking via email to someone about this the other day so if this will fix it i'll send them to this link!!

I don't know how these voice files works so I need some reassurance before I commit myself to these excellent patches.
For instance, in the case of Changing "St" to "Street" instead of "Saint" what if a road is called St Mary's Avenue? Will it be pronounced "Street Mary's Avenue"?
by the way the patch file on your web site is still 042.
Thanks _________________ Mark B

MaFt, which voice do you want me to fix? Paulina, Karen, ...? Since you are far away from Massachusetts, I can change MA to something else. What would it be?
By the way, TTS_Speech_Doctor is now at version 0.43. _________________ Latest RGN_Tool, GIR_Editor, Extra_POI_Editor and other Garmin tools: Click HERE

Yes, there is a chance it will say that.
There are checkboxes expecially for cases like yours. If you don't like a change, just do not check the checkbox and it won't be applied. Check the ones that you want only.
Don't worry too much. You can always undo the changes just by copying your ORIGINAL voice file back to your gps. _________________ Latest RGN_Tool, GIR_Editor, Extra_POI_Editor and other Garmin tools: Click HERE |

Thanks. I made backups onto DVD when I bought the Garmin.
OK I tried it (English Daniel) and did a simulation drive into a road I know is called "St Mary's Avenue". It pronounced it OK as "Saint Mary".
I'll see how it goes, thanks for this. _________________ Mark B

This sounds like an interesting piece of software, does it mean that you could have a series of voices all with different options
i.e.
a Daniel that said Street instead of Saint/a Karen that said Saint instead of Street
a Paulina that said Massachusetts instead of M A /a Lee that said M A instead of Massachusetts
I realise this could get out of hand but used carefully could be useful - or am I barking up the wrong tree? |

SandLake,
Your understanding is correct. You can select which changes you want to apply on each language.
Have fun! _________________ Latest RGN_Tool, GIR_Editor, Extra_POI_Editor and other Garmin tools: Click HERE |
