Sorry in advance if this has been covered:
Will my 930T likely be offered the upgrade to IQ routes?
If you reckon so, how is this normally announced? An automatic update to new firmware via HOME or as an option for a fee?
Any idea when? |

Your 920T will run IQ Routes provided it has the latest 8,010 software installed and the version 810 map - Mike |

Great!
Are they an optional download from TomTom then? a cost? I don't think they're on my TomTom and I have the latest map and firmware that you have noted.
If they are on but buried in a sub-menu somewhere, which I have missed - my apologies. |

Go to change Preferences/ Planning Preferences and there should be a button labeled "IQ Routes" lower left of the screen, tap that and make sure "Enable (recommended)" is selected.
To prove it is working select Navigate To and plan a route, on the route summary screen will some wording about using IQ Route weekday or weekend dependent upon when you plan the trip. The difference with the 940 is the IQ Routes plans the route dependent upon the day and time of day which the x20 and x30 range cannot currently do - Mike |

HTC are a well little known mobile phone manufacturer with a huge product range their phones can be found badged by O2, Orange, T-Mobile etc as well as with their own HTC brand for non contract users. I have used their products for quite a number of years - mainly for PC and SmartPhone devices. For the last two years they have been fitting built in GPS to a number of their devices making them ideal for Sat Nav and Topo mapping applications.
I decided to try a different device made by MWg the Zinc-II which is a capable unit but not without a number of issues, its not a device I trust 100% to be honest, you can see what it is by clicking Here I must update my sig as that is old info these days - Mike |
