I think this was mentioned earlier in the week within the main thread discussing the Home 2,4 release, see This for the start of a (currently) 19 page epic! - Mike |

Looks like.
I had the original 2.4 and when I connected just now it downloaded .104 and then asked me if I wanted to install it (which I have, and no apparent difference). Looks like a bugfix release to me. _________________ Brian Abbott

New version still deletes your own mapshare corrections. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

In previous versions you had the option NOT to load home on startup, it is no longer there and now startsup and places itself in the taskbar, without my permission or me wanting it to, how do I stop it doing this? Without having to change msconfig startup (as I don't see why I should have to). |

If you select Tools and then TomTom HOME Preferences, you will find on the General Tab, a check box that says 'Start TomTom HOME automatically when I connect my device to my computer (recommended)'.
Uncheck that and HOME will not autostart. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Isn't spannersatcx saying that option is no longer there? |

No I wasn't saying that option, there used to be an option to untick 'start tomtom home when windows starts' maybe they have reworded it!
I shall give it a try later and see if that makes it stop loading on windows start up. |

By default, every version of Home puts itself in the startup group when Windows loads. All insidious software does this, I feel, when you aren't even given the option to allow or disallow that functionality.
The remedy of course is to start (this is Windows, not a Mac) run: msconfig and in the startup tab, disable homerunner.exe. _________________ David |

Thanks that worked a treat, I'm sure they've changed the wording though. |

It's still there. _________________ Richard
