Welcome to the forum, you can easily install the Pocket GPS World speed camera database to your device, there are a number of links from the FAQ page that can be found by clicking |Here - The most important FAQ is number one, so please read that and follow it BEFORE you do anything else to the device - Mike |

You're referring to the XL 330S, right? Those instructions show you how to download the safety cameras. Using the TomTom HOME software you can download the latest map updates, POI sets and new voices for the device.
If you have trouble with hard disk space on either the TomTom or your computer, there's a post at Club TomTom that offers some solutions.

Confusingly, Gmonkey, in the UK the "new" wide-screen regional model is just called the "XL" and the Europe-wide version is called the "XL Europe 22" (although on the TT website I have seen the new "One" and "XL" both referred to as the "30 series" AND the "22" models.

argosman, you will need to use TomTom's 'Home' for map and software updates, but many people avoid it as much as possible for everything else!
By just connecting the Go to your PC, the computer will recognise it as a new "hard drive". You can then make backups and add new voices, POI sets etc. to it just by using normal PC copy and paste techniques. POIs need to be put into the named map folder, voices go in the "voices" folder and so on...
This also means you are not restricted to those that TomTom think you should have!
The speed cameras and other POIs from this site would be a good start. |
