Can you please confirm what the black quartered square represents on the Speed Camera Database?
I specifically refer to the location on Causeway Green Road, Oldbury near to Hadley Streey.
Does it relate to an unconfirmed Speed Camera location as I have previously reported this location as a new Gatso location?
What I do not understand with the new release of the latest Speed Camera database is why the GATSO:56172@30 has been included as I reported both new sites at the same yime [unless of course somebody else had already reported just this one previously and it has been verified seperately]
What do the numerous "little car" icons on the map of Causeway Green Road signify?
A key on the database would undoubtly help |

The black quartered square is an unconfirmed camera submission - the fact that you can see it means you were the first to submit it. Only you and Official Verifiers can see it, no other members can see it. It is possible that Gatso:56172@30 has been verified by the alternative method (i.e. not by Official Verifier) of a large number of submissions for spot on that site.
See the red writing above the map .... Quote: | The submission map below now shows active sites, pending mobile sites and your own submissions that have been provisionally included (i.e. not every submission) but awaiting verification - they will not show up straight away but will be shown as coloured squares / cross-hairs to differentiate them from active cameras. | Don't quote me, but I think the little car icons are Google maps bus stops?
I see this is your first post, so Welcome. It looks like you are in line for a free membership award with that black quartered square (that's assuming you are already a subscribed member, of course). _________________ Dennis

Thank you for that Dennis.
I was concerned just in case my submission had gone astray.
It may be my first post but I am an avid reader of the varios forums and have found them very useful so thank you for that as well.
As far as submissions go I have been submitting updates for over a couple of years and I have been a lifetime member since the time you introduced charges so I am not concerned if I am the first one to report or not, I am just interested in keeping this excellent database as up to date and as accurate as possible |

Me and my big mouth!! Serves me right for assuming anybody with Beginner under their name is wet behind the ears! You could get that changed to Lifetime Member if you wanted. Thank you, thank you for all your contributions. It's great to hear from you. _________________ Dennis

No problem Dennis
Perhaps it would be better to show me as a Lifetime Member rather than a Beginner if it is not too much trouble |

If they don't spot your request here (they do usually), then a PM to Darren or MaFt should get you upgraded. |

I'm here! what have I missed? come on Dennis, you got a camera release ON A SATURDAY!, can't i at least have sunday off?!
as for 56171, there have been only 2 other submissions for that and both about 100m north east. so until there are more submissions confirming the location or a verifier can get there then it'll wait...
for 56172 there were 7 submissions within about a 25m range...

The rest of us were all in here rowing the boat along merrily merrily merrily merrily without you! _________________ Dennis
