|
|
Hi,
I have recently installed a copy of MS Autoroute 2007 on my PC but something strange is happening in this version when I try and plan a route.
I live on the Isle of Wight and whenever I try to plan a route off the Island the software taken me to Portsmouth via the car ferry as it should but then from Portsmouth to France, then back to the UK the on to my destination!!!
I have altered my prefs and options etc but it does it every time. The only way round this is to put a large 'avoid area' block across northern France then things work fine.
Has anyone come across this sort of thing before and if so is there a fix? I have searched Microsoft's knowledge base but can't seen to find any relevant info.
Many thanks,
Cam. |

I use AR 2007 and I've just tried your scenario ..... without a problem.
Tried different destinations throughout the UK, and all worked OK.
What happens if you plan a Route from Portsmouth? _________________ Richard

I tried a route from Shanklin to Bournemouth. The software routed me via Yarmouth and Lymington to Bournemouth, no problems. I then tried Shanklin to Portsmouth, then to Dover, finishing at Le Havre. The program routed me ok, to portsmouth, but then via M3, M25, M2 to Dover? However, then from Calais to le Havre by land. |

Everytime I try to plot any route from the Island to anywhere on the mainland I have to go via france! I have tried this on 2 computers and get the same problem. In the end I just load up a saves map with a big 'aviod area' over northern france every time I use the program.
