Having tried the navigation on my N95 using my wireless router for connection and the Nokia maps, which bluetooth gps device would you recommend for connection, and also which map would you use instead of the Nokia maps? _________________ Graham

the n95 has gps built in to it you dont need a bluetooth gps for navigation purposes as the phone has this capability _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Marvellous! So if I go to Nokia maps, then it should start working? Am I right in saying these maps are only a trial? Would I be better buying the maps from Tomtom? _________________ Graham

The only other application I know of that work with the n95 internal GPS are Route 66 version 8 (which I wouldn't touch with a barge pole) and McGuider - Sygic which a few people at work have been reporting as quite good, although I have not tried this first hand (yet) - Mike |

So stick with the Nokia maps then? I'm sorry if these questions sound trivial, but I am completely new to this section? _________________ Graham

Since yesterday I have learned quite a bit about navigation using an N95 or similar!
The Nokia maps to be honest in my opinion dont look too bad, but setting a simple route with the available settings is a bit naff. The integrated GPS is absolutely terrible, after initially "locking on" (which lasted 2 minutes - if that) it kept jumping from full strength to nothing! Even when it did return to full strength it was telling me I wasnt on a road......and I was driving up the M1
The verdict is :- on the whole - it's crap
By the time I have bought an alternative map, with some more user friendly software, and an external bluetooth receiver then I may as well as just buy another tomtom! This was supposed to be a cheap alternative so the missus could use the tomtom, but it looks like were now going to have a matching pair _________________ Graham
