AVAID GPS

Hi, I am new to the GPS game and have just been given an AVAID GPS.
Does anyone know about these, where I can download Australian maps from, or any operations that would help me in the use of this. I have had trouble setting my home address to start with. I need to know if this is a dud or something to build upon. Anyone's help is appreciated.

I can't find anything on this unit at all. Can you double check the name and see if you can tell us anything else about the unit? Is there anything on the box / in documentation about the software it runs, at all?

Avaid is only the second part of the company name, they are usually called Shenzhen although the full tittle (in this case) is Shenzhen-Avaid-Technology-Co-Ltd.
Probably a unit running Route 66 or possibly TomTom software, although it would help if you can find some additional information out from the device, try the Help or About functions then post back with what it says - Mike
