Good afternoon. I have a TT 720 which is compatible with computer generated voices but didn't come with any preloaded and I can't find them on the TT Home site to dowload. I gather they are Kate and Simon. Software version is 8.010. Thanks for any assistance

Thank you Mike, I have just found a shrink wrapped packet containing multi language instructions, getting started, safety, accessories etc but no CD. Is this something I could get from a TomTom dealer or thru TT themselves? I don't mind paying for one!

You should be able to get them via Home's--Add Maps/Voices and then arrow right 2 screens to computer voices. You should see 4 English speaking one's listed, 2 m and 2f.

I am sorry - I am being annoying by asking the same question in 2 places - I apologise! With regard to Anita's comment

"You have to go to the third page of "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc", and select "Computer Voices" there."

I can only find voices, to download free or pay for but no computer voices anywhere. I was referred to a CD which came with my TT but all I got was a shrink wrapped package of manual and warranty etc but no CD. Once again my apologies for the trouble |I am causing!

Right, step by step then:

Connect your TomTom to your computer.
If HOME doesn't launch automatically open it manually.
On the first page of the HOME main menu, click on "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc".
This gives you page 1 of 4.
Click on the green right arrow.
This gives you page 2 of 4.
Click on the green right arrow.
This gives you page 3 of 4.
On this screen the 2nd button of the 2nd row says "Computer Voices".
Click this button.
Wait for the voices to load.
You are offered four free English voices, including the UK ones (Kate and Simon).
Select the voice(s) you want and download them to your device.

Anita

your patience is outstanding! I have got to Page 3 of Add voices. The top row says Default - Recommended Items and - Search
The second row says

Name Language Size Location Rating Price

and I have a page of voices with R2D2 at the top (first) and Wakko Warner at the bottom (last). No signs of Kate and Simon. Can't find a Computer voices button anywhere. I do think I have the latest version of TomTom Home so I am still struggling, despite your best efforts. One more try and if that doesn't work I give up! Your instructions could not be clearer but they aren't quite getting me there. Basically I am not finding any Buttons in any Row on page 3
Regards

I think you might be clicking on "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc", and on the next screen clicking on "Voices", which seems logical but

DON'T CLICK ON VOICES!! You should click on the green arrow.

On the next screen click on the green arrow again.

This gives you a screen with five options "Audiobooks", "Photos", "Documents", "Fuel Pices" and "COMPUTER VOICES", which is the one you click on.

After a short wait you should then be offered the free computer voices.

Good Morning Anita

thank you! I have found the Green Arrow and have access to computer voices! Many thanks for your help, very quick replies and exceptional patience with an old duffer!

From one old duffer to another, you're welcome. Glad you're there at last. Thumbs Up

It's so illogical the way TomTom have done it. There should be a "Voices" sub-menu of "Human voices" and "Computer voices", rather than have "Computer voices" two screens on.
