Advice needed please

I have Tom Tom navigator 5 on a XDA Exec with UK maps on a pre installed SD card. I have also downloaded speed cameras previously.

I also have a Nokia E 51 phone.

I have spoken to Tom Tom about getting a map of the USA as I will go their soon for a holiday and they have told me I need to install Navigator 6.

I do not want to lose the UK maps I have already got and paid for and the speed camera's but I will need the map of the USA.

What is the most cost effective way around this as I do not want to purchase the UK maps again

I would appreciate some sound advice

Did TomTom say whether the v5 maps are usable on v6 software?
That's the first thing you need to ascertain. I would say they WILL be, but if you are spending money on v6, you need to know for sure.

Assuming that it is OK, if it is the PGPSW camera data you have downloaded, there will be no problem, it can stay in the same map folder.
If it is TomTom's own, you would be able to copy the existing files across, but you will probably have to get TT to transfer any subscription onto the new software in order to get updates.
