tom tom 910 map updates

Hi
I have the above tom tom satnav with European maps that are now 12 months old. Is it necessary to update to newer map versions or am I better waiting for another 12 months. I intend to visit France in the next few weeks!

Which version of the Maps do you actually have?

If they are the original ones then from a year ago they are probably V652.

If so then the 720 Maps that are currently available will, in some areas, be better.

Whether you want to wait until the next generation of Maps appear, probably V8**, is a personal choice.

As in the UK, when you go to France you may, or may not, see any changes depending on which area of the Map you are using.
