Tytn II tomtom navigator active call handling not working

I wonder if anyone can help me with this?

I have a Tytn II mobile phone on Orange. I have installed tomtom navigator 6.0 on it. It all runs fine except when there is a call, SMS or calender alert. If, for example, a call comes in, the phone screen opens up and does not minimise once the call is answered.

I had the software previously loaded on an Orange SPV M700 which was a WM5 device and didn't have this problem.

It might be that an update of the navigator software is required but I've heard that later versions have a problem with the volume being muted as default.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
