Link errors in HOME v2.3

I linked another ONE in HOME v 2.3 to try and fix it for a friend ( blank screen , No Maps etc errors.)

However now when I try to plug in my ONE in HOME it displays error message and says I cannot change the linked device for 6 months?

My account clearly shows the correct device,
I've tried adding the new device to my account... no change

help ?

You have (unwittingly) changed your registration to your friend's device.

If that doesn't matter, simply set up a new email address for yourself and log in to Home with your device using the new email address.

If, however, you have subscribed to TomTom PLUS Services and want to continue using them, you need to get TomTom to sort it out.
