Well now Im familiar with my 520 Ive took the plunge and signed up for teh database but have a couple of questions

What the general guidance on setting warning distances as I dont want to set them all at say 20 seconds then go back and do it all again - also I guess the number on the grid is the distance in yeards to enter into device

Do I need to deletee the original tom tom cameras and if so how and what happens next time I update on home will this overwrite the GPs cams or not and will Ihave to deleete the TT cams after every update?

cheers guys

20 secs is usually a good measure for a static camera, but for Mobiles, especially the 60/70mph ones, I would set to 800 or even a 1000 yards.

If you are offered the download of the TT Cameras just untick the Option. They won't overwrite the PGPSW Cameras as they have different filenames.

Presume you're talking about THIS grid?

If so, then yes, 20 seconds is a good starting point for fixed cameras, double everything for mobiles.

(A quick way to remember it is that the figures in the 20 second column are roughly 10 yards for every mile per hour. So for a 20mph camera its 200yds, 300 yds for a 30mph camera etc.)

You can delete them using HOME or just switch them off via the PLUS Services menu on your unit.
