Any (non-discontinued) Nuvi you buy now will either have the 2008 (v10) maaping. If you find it comes with v9 maps you'll be able to obtain a free upgrade from Garmin.
The 200 has UK maps and the 250 has UK and Europe maps. The 270 has UK, Europe and North America maps.
You can compare models here |

is the 250 discontinued then - is that's why it's cheaper? |

Handtec
Garmin Nuvi 250 - £94.94
Garmin Nuvi 200W - £103.87
Garmin Nuvi 250 Pink - £126.78
Garmin Nuvi 250W - £134.66
With the exception of Widescreen or not and the mapping there's nothing to compare between the units really. Have a look at this
Don't forget popularity and stock can affect prices too.. |

My step daughter has a Nuvi 270 (same as 250 but with the addition of North American mapping). She absolutely loves it and it has taken her to places in the USA she wouldn't have dared to attempt without a SatNav. It has given no problems in 9 months of intensive use. Any Garmin should come with 2008 European mapping now or be eligible for an upgrade. The 250 for under £100 is cracking value in my opinion. |

Wow. Nice one. Let us know how you both get one with it. |
