As the TT branded cases are so ridiculously over priced and Ebay is such a minefield of crap, can anybody please suggest a GOOD quality but reasonably priced case for then Go 920. I have seen some that connect up to the mount etc without having to remove the case. |

I'll second this as I'd like a decent one for my 720, and they will be one and the same. |

Saw one on the dreaded Ebay that can be kept on the TT and slotted straight onto the car mount still in the case etc. Sounds good but still around 12 quid if its rubbish!!! |

Not many suggestions on this one then. Is it that people just don't use these cases or do you all splash out on the TT rip off versions? |

I've heard of people finding the perfect case in places like Tesco Extra. Usually they are camera cases so somewhere like Jessops would be worth looking in.
I've got mine in my old Go300 case! Looks a bit "pot-bellied" and flabby so it quite suits me . |

Another option might be to try your local photographic outlets and see what they have in the way of camera cases.
They tend to stock a fairly wide variety and this is what I've always done.
Also, if you have your GPS (TT or other) with you, it's so easy to check the fit of any case which may catch your eye _________________ Andy

Hectorsgaf I've got an official TT one which doesn't impress me and I don't use (partly because one case v three devices is uneven odds!). If you care to PM me your address, you can have it.
Anybody care to enlighten me on why they'd want to have a case over their GO when it's on the mount in the car? _________________ Dennis

Just thought it would offer some protection but als save the agg of taking it in and out of the case all the time. Bit like having a mobile phone in a potective ase but being able to still use it with it on.

I use this case, bought on eBay for £6.98 delivered. It's a soft leather case so only protects the device against scratches etc, not being dropped. _________________ Anita

Does that one have any stiffening stitched in to protect the screen side at all, Anita? |

Yes, Andy, it has stiffening (probably thickish card) stitched between the leather and lining on the flat side, but nothing for the back of the device. _________________ Anita

I'm now (after 3 months) on my 2nd of the "Standard" (£19.99) cases for my 920. The zip catch broke after two weeks on the first and it's going again on the 2nd.
Not impressed with the quality and given the reaction and ease of swapping it at Halfords, this I guess is a common problem.
I'm gona look for an alternative if the zip does go again. |

I didnt want to pay for the official case either, so I ended up with a snyde Nintendo DS case brought from a local market stall.
All for the princely sum of £2.99.

For some reason, I put a destination into my 720 last night while still in the house, then carried it straight out to the car without the case.
Got to the restaurant, tried to slip it into my pocket and threw it straight across the pavement into the road, screen side down!
I can now vouch for the build quality of the 720... a bit war-torn (lots of scuff marks round the edges) but it still works perfectly.
You should have heard my involuntary howl of anguish though. My wife pointed out that I didn't shriek like that when SHE fell over recently! |
