Removing POIs from the database ??

Just a quickie..

A week or so ago I used the submission map to remove some POIs that are no longer there. KwikSave's that had closed down.
I look on the map page now.. and they're gone. However the date on the downloadable file still gives a date in January.

Does this mean that although they've been removed from the database, the download files haven't been updated?
Categories where I added POIs via the map seem to update the download files within a day or so.

Are you looking at the right File?

Have you checked those Locations on your Device to see if they are still present in the new Download? The date that you do the new download should have that date on the Files, as they are created on-the-fly and reflect the current state of the database.

Perhaps if you give the location it can be checked.

I haven't downloaded and checked. Will do.

It's the date given in brackets next to each subcategory on the POI download page. I assumed this is the date the newest amendment was made. The date seems to update when a POI is added or amended in a sub category.. but not when deleted.
Like I said.. I'll investigate further.

OK
Downloaded the file and checked manually and it HAS been updated.. the 2 removals I submitted have been actioned.
So it looks like the file date on the download page does not update if POIs are deleted.. only if they are added or amended.

Which is a bit Sad

because the file IS updated and should be flagged as such.
