|
|
I just got back from a trip and stayed at 4 Travel Lodges throughout the UK @
Northampton North
Northampton South
Chester
St Helens
Using Tomtom 3 with these POI everyone was wrong, ok it was in the right area i'll grant that, but was out by about 100 Metres and on the Northampton one actually drove me past the Travel Lodge up the road about 200 Metres!!!
I don't know why it is so incorrect, I am sure someone spent a lot of time doing it, and I appreciate that, but they are very inaccurate.
Also the POI was done in '98 so they must be well old now (from download page)
Does anyone know another POI for Travel Lodge that work? |

The people that go to the trouble of creating these POIs often have to rely on the basic information available on websites etc as to the exact location, they're unlikely to have visited each one in person and verified the entrances etc! In the circumstances I'd say 100 or 200m is pretty accurate.
Of course there's nothing stopping you from correcting the innacuracies you have discovered and re-submitting the POI file to us? _________________ Darren Griffin |

That is fair enough, I have got the inaccuracies on CHeckpoint 2.02 but not sure how to sort it.

Quite possibly they were generated automatically from postcode information, so 100-200m depending on the location is pretty good, I'd say. |
