Legality some countries

Whilst not strictly speaking to do with the GPS database available here I would be interested if anyone can confirm that some European countries do not allow GPS based speed camera warnings.

I have read that Switzerland is one such case where even having a GPS unit capable of speed warnings and not switched on can render the unit liable to seizure and a hefty fine.

Can anyone confirm exactly what is legal and where please.

republic of ireland bans the use of ANY method of seeing where cameras will be - even printed road maps do not have camera locations

switzerland, as you mention, is another one.
