Thought I did everything right re: POI installation

I wonder if anyone can help. I created a text file out of an excel file exactly as instructed, then saved it as an asc file. I used Content Manager to import into my X970. It is there under "MY Viamichelin, and my POIs. But, they still do not show up or list when I try to look them up. I noticed the coversion changed it to a .ppi file? Did I do anything wrong? or right for that matter?
