Maybe a stupid question but what is the difference between the Garmin 760 and 760(T).
Thanks. |

The 760(T) comes bundled with the Traffic Receiver. This is an optional accessory on the non (T) model.
The Traffic Receiver allows you to receive Traffic Delay, Jam, Accident information which is taken into account when plotting routes etc. _________________ Darren Griffin |

When looking for a 760T all the models i found were 760T. In fact Garmin only seem to mention there being a 760T. The only place i (well someone else) found a 760 without the Traffic addon included was Halfords. They were selling it for over £100 more than the Traffic verison on other sites.
To make sure you are getting a Traffic model look at the description.
Compare:
Handtec £227.95 inc VAT
Quote: | FM traffic compatible: yes |
and
Halfords £349.99 inc VAT
Quote: | Traffic Information: No |

Thanks Darren & Paul,
That's a great help - will keep an eye out for the different description when deciding where to buy from.
Thanks. |

just a note - halfords cannot really sell it without TMC as the 760T is a made up product. All 760s come with TMC whether they have T at the end of their name or not.
The garmin designation is only 760. No T. It comes with TMC. Halfords are naughty naughty ignoramuses. |

It seems they can. There are boxes without the TMC in it. Someone here checked in the store selling it. See this post and the one after

You might want to tell Garmin that then as they use 760T on their website |

Would have to be a Euro only model, as every 760 sold in the states would be considered a "T", as ALL come with traffic. The 750 model does not. |
