Hi
I'm thinking of buying a refurbished Go 910 which is likely to have a previous version of the maps. I am primarily interested in using the PGPSW Database and wondering what happens if there are cameras on a new piece of road not included on the old maps. Will the warning still appear?

The answer is 'it depends'! Most satnav's (TT Inc) use a 'lock to road' system so that your position is shown on the road. Satnav can be off by 10-20m or so because of the vagaries of the technology so rather than show you 10m to the left or right of the road they programatically lock your cursor on the road itself.
This works fine where road data exists, but if you drive along a new section of road the device will get confused and then begin locking to the nearest adjacent roads.
So you 'may' get a warning or you might not, it depends. But in reality, the maps on the 910 won't be that out of date, you might find one or tow new roads not in the map but the vast majority will be. _________________ Darren Griffin

In the (fairly unlikely) situation where there is a camera and a missing road, the camera will simply look like it is in a blank space. If you drive down the missing road, the TomTom will EITHER drive through the empty space past the camera, OR, if there is another road nearby, it may try to "hop" onto that road.
So, whether you would still get a warning depends on whether you have the alerts set to "warn only when on route" or "warn when near". If they are set to "only when on route" you probably won't get an audible warning as there is no route set, but you would still see it on screen.
