That's fantastic! EU tourists can now get 715 maps, but the NA "Maps" site has been down since November...
Fat lot of good a 1953MB map is going to do anyone with anyting but a 9x0. I don't mind buying a 4GB SD card to put it on, but it's just shameful to not have the foresight to make your units at least one map generation upgradeable.
Guess I'm just cranky today, but this is a load of @#(*%& TomTom. |

Ah, sorry, I missed the real point of the post: Thank you, Infama, for sharing the update! It actually is a tremendous help to me to know this is now available.
I'd be very interested to find out if any of the feedback from the "charlie test" has been incorporated in the new maps. Anyone have any insight that doesn't violate the NDA or forum rules? |

I was hoping the Latest Map Guarantee on the 920 would cover both the Europe and USA maps... but according to TomTom it only applies to one of the maps! |

That's disgraceful. I would keep badgering them until they give in.
The "only one map update" clause was used to stop people who went from v705 to v710 also getting v715, they can't use it to stop you getting the latest version for ALL the maps on your expensive device. |

Most US 920 people on line have been getting both.
Badger them and you will get both for sure! |

US, here.
I purchased a 920 in December. I am beyond the 30 day update.
But I thought that the 920 was entitled to a ONE YEAR update of maps. Am I wrong?
TTHome says new maps are available but that I am NOT entitled to it. |

The 920 has (or had) a full one year free update offer in the US only.
Can't see any mention of it on their website now though.

Contact Cust Service and you will likely get it added to your account. |

I agree totally, I am now on my 3rd correspondence with them, so far I have just had the standard "only Europe maps" reply. Not happy with this at all, the literature in the box says nothing of the sort.
Will report back if anything happens... |

Well, slowly getting there! TT have assigned a North America map to my profile.... but Home reports it as 1683MB and says it isn't compatible for my device. The size for the 920 map should be 1953MB - I think they have assigned me the 720 map |

Certainly not in Europe:
For 720 - Map of Western & Central Europe_2GB v7.15 1676 MB
For 920 - Map of Western & Central Europe v7.15 1927 MB
That's according to the TomTom MapShop webpage http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/select.php |
