Hi,
I'm new to all this. I have an Acer n35 with DestinatorLite installed. I have also just installed Speed Sentry. I want to be able to download the appropriate speed camera database and install it on my Acer so that Speed Sentry will pick it up. I've downloaded what I believe is the correct csv file but I can't see a way of getting it into the right place in my Acer. Can ayone help?
thanks
Pete

Welcome to the forum Pete - Just put the csv camera file on the PDA's memory in MyDocuments.

Start GPS Speed Sentry and click Menu/ Setup/ Database at the bottom of this page is an option to "Browse for Database" click the grey box next to this text, a list of folders will be presented, select MyDocuments and choose the csv file from the list.

Whilst you are on the "Database Setup" page you can also specify the distance for warning one and two also the detection angle and any audio (wav) files you might want the software to use for warnings - Mike

Hi Mike,
thanks for the quick reply. I copied the csv file over to my N35 and put it into My Documents. It's called pocketgps_uk_sc.csv. I started Speed Sentry and went into Menu/setup/database and selected the csv file from the list. However the program then displays the correct name very briefly in the 'File:' field and then returns to the previous page immediately without storing the name. Any ideas?
thanks
Pete

Sorry I should have detailed the previous instructions a little more.

Once you have selected the Speed Camera file within the GPS Speed Sentry application exit the programe by selecting Menu/ Exit

Restart the aplication and you will notice it takes longer to start as it has to load the additional file as it boots up, once it is loaded you will have the camera files active on the display - Mike

Mike,
My real problem was that I had downloaded the wrong database. Sad I had previously downloaded the file for Destinator3. The Acer N35 came packaged with DestinatorLite. I should have chosen 'other' for the satnav system when selecting from the download page.
many thanks for your help. Very Happy
Pete
