|
|
Hi all.
I have a TT720T but cannot access the car preferences menu (it's greyed out). Does anybody know why?
Is it the car preferences that would allow me to set speeds on various roads?
Thanks in advance.

ernie, I don't believe anyone has anything in the menu as yet. I suspect it was dropped in the testing cycle but the menu option stayed. It may be used in the next update etc. _________________ Gerry

Thanks Gerry.
Do you know if it is possible to set road speeds at all?

Never seen it as an option on TomToms. I think some Garmins have it to some extent or other.
The consensus here is that they want you to just use what they know about the road itself. Problem is they appear to use so few categories that giving you the option to choose your own speed would just show up their map data. _________________ Gerry

I see. TT is a bit pessimistic is the only snag.
Thanks again for the help.

The "car preferences" menu is for some as yet un-released permanent docking/permanent install kit. TomTom has a habit of announcing these and then quietly forgetting about them.
There is no way to "tweak" the default speeds for different road types on any current TomTom software or hardware. |
