GPS in France

Not sure which forum to ask this in, but ...........

Can anyone tell me the format, etc to set my Garmin Map60CSx to to get map references usable with French IGN walking maps?

It should be marked on the maps but...

This site is from the IGN site and tells you how to use a GPS with their maps. It looks as if the datum is either NTF or ED50 depending on the age of the map. Newer ones will be NTF?

The French also use grades (100grades=90degrees) on some maps just to confuse you that bit more. But the standard of their small scale topo maps is pretty good.
