BT reciever with 4Hz update?

Hello,

I'm looking for a BT GPS reciever that supports ~ 4Hz updates. It seems that all of the BT recievers use the SiRFstarIIe/LP chipset, which supports 10Hz updates (http://www.sirf.com/downloads/collateral/press_releases/SiRFstarIIeLP%20Chip%20Product%20Insert.PDF).

Is this a firmware thing?

maybe it's a firmware thing. May also have an impact on antenna size and RF circuitry. Consumer GPS need to be cheap and are limited to 1 Hz. Talk 10K USD and you may get your 10 Hz.
