I have the pleasure of buying a ONE XL V3 after my V1 was stolen. Because I backed up the ONE i still have access to custom voices. Can any one tell me how I can transfer these into the V3 as I have tried the normal copy anmd paste but because there's no .chk file it appears not to work.
Any ideas? |

If you have backed up the ONE before it was stolen you should simply select and copy all the folders in the voices folder and put them in the voices folder in your new TT.
if you dont have any .chk file none of them will work, you will have to download them again. Were did they go to. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

I've just looked at the files and all the .chk files are missing. It would appear that my anti virus has had a field day? |

I am really sorry to hear that. As i say you are better deleting the rest of them and downloading and installing them again. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

You luck must be in. As long as you have a .bmp .vif and .chk for each voice you should be ok. Also once you install them and check they are ok you should maybe do a back up just incase. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Windose (spelling deliberate) treats .chk files as redundant so depending upon your PC settings it might well wipe them again when running "house Cleaning" parts of the OS on the PC - Mike |
