WHne the Nuvi 760 is turned on press and hold the top left corner you will will now see a hidden menu. You can't do anythink in it, but it gives you info on speed, location, elevation and satalite signals. |

Very cool. It's there on the 750 also. It's the satellite acquisition page. I was looking for that. It's the opening screen on several of my other Garmins. It only works if you press and hold the "signal strength" icon on the main menu. |

The other hidden menu I found is on the main menu when the Nuvi first boots up, press and hold the battery indicator. |

I found that too a few days ago. It shows all the technical settings and specs.
Something happened and it seriously screwed up the device. I lost my English language keyboard. It forgot what 20 of the 26 letters are. No looking up favorites without a keyboard. I had to go to the Garmin site and download and reinstall the firmware. No way I'm going to that screen again!
I though that I was in deep doo-doo because I was at the inlaws for the week 1000 miles from home. Fortunately I was able to leach off someone's unsecured wireless network long enough to get the 4mb file. |
