hi to all
i have got me a new toy a tomtom 1 xl ive been lookin about for some software to alert me when i exceed the speed limit on the road im on, it alerts me on a few roads but not all is there any software about to do this ? any help would be appreciated

This sort of information is usually built in the maps but is not extensively used. Hence you get the occasional alert.
Every point of every road would need to be marked with a speed limit or a point / marker to state you are entering a new limit. The amount of data involved would be huge and prone to errors as speed limits are changed from time to time.
Better to spend your time learning the highway code and using the signs by the side of the road to tell you the speed limit than relying on a third party tool that could be wrong. |

hey there PaulB2005 thx for ur reply i see what ur sayin i never thought about it like that oh well never mind it was just a idea, i always try watch my speed but the safty camers are everyware now and it was just in case of laps of concentration

Why not have the voice warnings for your camera alerts and give yourself plenty time before camera. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Not sure if you know this but we do have a database of the Safety Camera locations for subscribers to download. It'll warn you when you approach a camera. See this page |
