POIs in Nuvi200w

I just got this for Christmas and am really happy with it. However I have downloaded soem POIs and used the POI loader but although it says they have been loaded when I try to search for them they can't be found.

Also although the maps are up to date some long standing locations in my Area don't exist. Also I would like to creat my own POIs on my PC at home what software do I need for this?

what locations are you expecting to find? roads or buildings?
