I'm Cdn with lots of Garmin experience. I would like to be able to check maps for accuracy and info before I make a purchase. Can this be done?
I've heard glowing reviews o CoPilot on the Miata forum, but I've been unable to find info on maps.
I've had:
GArmin gpsIII, III+, V, Legend, gps 10 deluxe, 3600, and my wife has a Nuvi 660.
Regards,

Yes, ALK provide maps for Canada. Supposedly self-collected (not Navteq or Teleatlas).
There's no test version available however.
Here are the details

Thanks for the post.
When I bought my 3rd Garmin, I was truly disappointed with the Cdn mapping offered. I thought it would be a step ahead. Instead, the gps V came with maps of 4 cities and a base map that was a great void.
So I feel that we're really buying 2 products:
* a gps receiver
* maps for the area of interest.
Perhaps I'll finda friend with a unit I can try.

DaveL

How about Destinator? They are Toronto-based. _________________ Lutz
