Hi I would like to upgrade my Garmin I3.

I'm looking at the Garmins again as I find they work well and I prefer the screen than the tomtoms.

Is it worth spending the extra £50 to get the 370. As far as I can see the only thing the 370 has that the 610t doesn't is the 'text to speech' thing, and USA maps (not needed).

Anyone got a nuvi 370? I can't find any reviews about it!

Any advice would be much aprechiated, thanks.

Neil.

The TTS (text-to-speech) can be very useful in places where they have good road name signs. So that you don't have to work out if "next left" is the road you are just passing or the one just up the road from it! It is nice to be told to exit a motorway and take the A49 (for example).

I have a 660 with TTS and my wife has a 310 without. I like the menu layout on the 310 - it's slightly different to the 660 - and the screen shows a pointer to North on the 310 which I don't have on the 660.

TTS will also read out SMS messages from a connected BT phone - if supported.

I have the 370. You can find reviews on Amazon but functionally I assume it is like the 350 but with US and European maps.

My only complaint with it is that it takes a fair time to boot up, perhaps because of the large map database.

Price/performance seems excellent. Any questions just ask. You can view the owners manual online at Garmin.com
