Hi, i hope this is the right forum for this post.... i recently bought a myguide 3100 sat nav unit, it is great. i just noticed though that 3 or 4 local poi's [service stations etc] are some 400 yards off and not necessarily on the road they should be.
is it possible to edit these poi's so that their location on the map is correct. i could create new ones at the relevant points, i know, but i think i would then lose the details, tel no./address that also goes with them.
i have downloaded igo explorer in case that will help me but i think i need a 'walkthrough' of how to do it if possible.
many thanks |

POIs can be corrected on This Page.
Insert the Lat/Long, in the Find Location Box, of the incorrect POI and the map will zoom in to it.
Click the icon of the incorrect POI and the details appear just above the Map.
Click the ID: Number and the details are filled into the form above.
Select Change existing POI and move the map so that the crosshair in the middle is placed at the correct location. Click Update Co-ordinates.
In the comments field make a note of why you are changing the POI, ie. Move to correct location.
Click Submit.
A summary of the change appears. Just select Page Back to submit more.
You will get an automated email acknowledgment for each submission. _________________ Richard

You mean the POIs that came built in?
With the exception of the newest TomTom usually these are not user editable.
The best way to deal with it is to download 3rd party POIs (such as from here which are updated regularly and use these instead. |
