|
|
I don't have a traffic subscription and my free trial (TT 510) finished a year ago.
I recently upgraded to the new OS ('7' is it?) and there was the traffic, working. I had not subscribed to traffic before because I could never get it to work with my phone (same phone, Nokia E61).
What's going on?

I think due to the new program version you'll have another trial period. _________________ Lutz

Tomtom support told me that there was no new trial period with the software - Maybe as you don't have a subscription, it will work - Us with a subscription can't get it working on 7.10 !
Welcome to the wonderful world of Tomtom |

I didn't think TomTom would enable another trial period just because I downloaded an update. I can tell you, however, TomTom traffic is still working. This is all the more surprising because I could never get it to work during my real trial period, over a year ago now. Oh, and I have speed cameras too. I did buy a year's worth of those (over a year ago) but found the PocketGPS ones worked better. But they are there again, downloadable from TomTom Home.
Wierd!

Odd! Mine has been working since last December, but on 28th took a trip to Portsmouth and it worked OK going down. On the way back it didn't and hasn't worked since.
TT and Orange customer services absolutely no help at all. Still my subscription runs out 22 december, so I haven' lost much. _________________ Regards

When I first got my TomTom (510) I found that I could get Traffic to work only if I reset both the TomTom and my phone at the beginning of every journey. This was too much of a nuisance. Now, however, it just works! |
