typical newbie with tomtom2 question with maps

hello
got a new tomtom2 with the uk maps also with the gps reciever destinator gps,works great no problems,

now trying to add more maps of the netherlands etc etc.

the maps load up to the same card as the great britain maps, but the tomtom nav when file-switch map is used says no other maps installed,, perhaps anyone knows where the registry or congig file is so i cen tell tomtom where the new map is. we dont think were doing anything diff as we let the softwear load to its own areas

btw its a ipaq 3870

The registry part for this is at
HKCU\Software\TomTom\TomTom Navigator\Maps

The LastMap should point to the string entry who's value points to the directory where the map data is stored. It may be necessary that the map directory ends with "Navigator Map" but that's unconfirmed.

doh!!!!!
found the registry using the TRE editor

the string is correct but only shows
lastmap "great_britain"
Great_britain "\storage card\great_britain navigator map\

can another map be added here for tom tom to reconise?
map for benelux-nl

didnt help
perhaps cant just add another map via the reg..

if you have just the uk maps dont you need to by the full european software to add eu maps and also they are they tomtom maps your trying to upload the one is silly i know but you never know

no deff the right maps for tomtom2,

just seem may poss be the wrong version for the navigator.

could be that tomtom has diff versions of software for different maps.

will go back to the destinator seems more stable with the various maps,

it is not sufficient to just create the entry for the belgian maps. "LastMap" also needs to point to it.
