MioMap 3.2 does display the current speed limit in UK. Having said that, the display is only as good as the data contained within the maps, and this is the main problem. Although I have found the speeds to be fairly accurate in general, I do get some wrong readings that could lead to a fine, especially where the speed limit has recently changed.
I prefer the more reliable method of looking out of the window for the speed limit signs, as these are, I have found, pretty definative of the speed limit at any location. A pretty good clue to 30MPH is street lights without speed repeaters etc.
To summarise, don't rely on the MIO, look out of the window.

I agree, but the GPS screen can act as a good reminder from time to time when you're looking for that elusive repeater sign to remind you of the speed limit.
There are places where the Mio data is incorrect, but it can be useful when you want a quick look-see as an memory jogger.
No matter what's displayed on the screen, road signs and layout must always be obeyed in preference to following information given by a GPS unit _________________ Andy
