Much as I love TomTom Navigator 6, I'm increasingly of the opinion that it is falling behind. I have just updated to the latest version of the maps to find that a major dual carriageway (part of the A10) is not present even though it was opened in 2004. Also, their support is very poor. I can't get even the simplest of questions answered just because I have a Fujitsu Siemens N560 (rather than an N520) which isn't on their list of supported models. Also there is no sign of Navigator for PDA moving to version 7 along with the rest of their range.
Therefore with out of date maps, poor support and no obvious upgrade path, I have to ask - is there a better solution?
Does anyone have any experience of other Windows Mobile 5 PDA navigation software that I should look at? |

I have tried Destinator, I-Go, and Copilot 6 and 7. Out if the three I would recommend CoPilot 7.
The graphic and user interface is much improved, had Traffic as TMC or GPRS. Route calculation is fast.
I-Go would be a close runner up but does not have traffic over GPRS. The other draw back is that it is locked to a memory card so you are limited on space.
I have used this software on a orange M700 (HTC 3600) running Windows Mobile 5 and 6. All have worked with no problems. _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Hi Mark,
I have notice in your signature that you use an 8 GB SD card in the SPV M700. Could you please tell me the make and where did you have it from?
Also did it work in WM5 or did you have to upgrade to WM6? If so which WM6 rom did you use. Thank you |

I'd also have to say CoPilot 7. I never liked the earlier version but CoPilot v7 is a whole new beast, much improved and a worthy replacement for TomTom on a PPC. _________________ Darren Griffin |
