Hi i have got a Tomtom one i think its the version 2, which is not switching on, i have kept it on charge for a few hours then tried to reset the unit but still not switching on, any ideas? |

Try removing the SD card and putting it back in.
If you have a card reader, put the SD card in it and see if you can see it with Windows Explorer. If the card is somehow corrupted, then reformat it and reinstall your backup (which made, of course!). |

DO NOT format the card if you only have a TomTom HOME backup, as the backup will not be complete, so it won't work, only format if you have a Full Windows explorer backup. Have you tried pressing the re-set button for 30 seconds, then see if it works. _________________ Audi A3 Sline sat nav |

From your post in another topic(HERE) you say you haven't a backup or any CDs.
There is nothing on the CDs to help so that doesn't matter.
You need to copy everything that is on the SD card onto your PC first. Then we can see what you have got left.
See the TomTom FAQs for instructions on how to make a backup with Windows Explorer (not Home).
Report back when you've done that and we can see what can be done.
You can start by telling us what the 4 largest files in your map folder are. |
